Camp Bowers Summer Camp
Camp Bowers Summer Camp provides a long term resident camping experience for Boy Scouts. Some of the activities planned for this coming summer include swimming, canoeing, rowing, sailing, kayaking, climbing and rappelling, zip line, ropes course, leatherwork, woodcarving, astronomy, aviation, rifle, shotgun, archery, photography, knots, orienteering, and there’s so much more with over 40 merit badges being offered at Camp Bowers .
Programs are available for the first time camper through the most experience one. Even the Scoutmaster will have something to do!!
In 2007, the Cape Fear Council will host four weeks of Long Term Resident Camp as listed below. Camp Bowers is the perfect program for 6th through 12th graders. The fee is $145 per youth if paid by May 7, 2007. $185 per youth after this date. Download the Camp Bowers Map.

Wood Badge 2007
The Wood Badge experience will consist of two weekends. Participants will be divided into groups that will operate as a patrol throughout the Wood Badge Course. Patrols will work on Team Building skills, Leadership Development and Diversity. The weekends will involve an outdoor experience for participants where the patrols provide for their own shelter, equipment and meals. Wood Badge is open to all Scouting positions associated with Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venture Scouts.
