Hello Brunswick,
I hope every one of you had a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year. This year of 2010 is truly going to be a unique year for Scouting. As most of you know we are celebrating the 100 year anniversary of Scouting here in America. We have already kicked it off at the Cape Fear Council with our Day of Service on January 9, 2010. The final tallies are not in, but from what I heard Scout units were very successful at getting out in their communities and giving back. For more information on what the Council will be doing to celebrate the 100 year anniversary during 2010 please see the link on the Council website.
Even though I’m the new District Executive I promise to bring some experience to the table. Brunswick District has many great units and this is the perfect time to come together and become a stronger district. So far the volunteers I’ve met have been tremendous and I look forward to meeting many more of you at the upcoming District banquet. Remember if you need anything or having any questions don’t hesitate to call.
Yours in Scouting,
Andrew Zeldin

Webelo to Scout Transition-Please make sure to contact Andrew Zeldin to let him know when your pack is hosting your cross over ceremony. Honestly, Webelo to Scout transition is our best recruiting tool for us to get boys to go into Boy Scouts. We need to make sure each pack has a troop and if they don’t they at least need somewhere to go. This info will help us Help you and make sure all of your boys get a chance to crossover into Boy scouts.
