Annual Banquet a Resounding Success

Earlier this month our Council recognized the 2016 Eagle Scout Class, Silver Beaver honorees and our North Star honor recipients at our Annual Banquet. Council President Carlton Williamson kicked off the evening by welcoming our guests, introducing Troop 224 as the honor guard and bringing Judge Stan Carmical to the stage as our Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Inspirational speeches were given by the Klahican Lodge Chief Ethan Syster, Eagle Class Spokesman Landon Bailey, and Eagle Class Honoree David Harling. Council Commissioner Dooie Leach presented the Silver Beaver honorees followed by Council Executive Vice-President Chad Paul recognizing Bill Cameron as our first North Star award recipient for his years of service to the Council in a non-registered role. WECT’s Jon Evans, a father of an Eagle Scout, introduced each Eagle Scout to our stage to be recognized for their accomplishments. The evening ended with each audience member lighting a candle, dimming the house lights, and singing Scouting Vespers.
