Cape Fear Summertime Award
Guidelines:
- Complete the requirements for the appropriate category
- Complete online award application
- Order your patch.
- The link to order your patch will be provided when you submit your online completion form
- Patches are $4 each and will be mailed to you as soon as they arrive.
- Award is available for a limited time, requirements must be completed and submitted by September 4.
Cub Scouts: (complete 6 out of this list)
- Participate in one Virtual Adventure with your Den/ Pack/ or Council.
- Participate in two Virtual Den Meetings between June 1-August 31.
- Participate in the Cape Fear Council Virtual Campfire
- Participate in an outdoor Pack or Den Activity
- Help prepare one meal or snack for your family.
- Invite a friend to a Virtual Pack event.
- Help your parents complete a home chore/ project
- Camp out in your living room or back yard with your parent(s) or family without electronics.
- Play a non-electronic game with your family.
Scouts BSA/ Venturing: (complete 6 out of this list)
- Participate in the Virtual Camp & In-Camp Experience or other long-term camping experience
- Participate in two Virtual Troop/ Crew meetings between June 1- August 31
- Participate in the Cape Fear Council Virtual Campfire
- Participate in an outdoor Troop/ Crew activity
- Cook a meal for your family using basic ingredients
- Invite a friend to a Virtual Troop/ Crew event
- Perform a service project for your family, approved by your parents
- Teach another Scout a new skill virtually
- Lead your family in a game night(s) totaling three hours of non-electronic gaming
Adult Leader: (complete 4 out of this list)
- Participate in two Virtual unit meetings between June 1-August 31
- Participate in the Cape Fear Council Virtual Campfire
- Participate in an In-Person Unit activity or service project between June 1-Aug 31
- Support unit virtual meetings
- Participate in a Virtual District Roundtable
- Be up to date in Youth Protection Training AND Hazardous Weather Training
- Like or Follow Cape Fear Council and District Facebook page
