Cape Fear Scout Reservation In Need of Clean-Up Help on Saturday October 6th & 13th
The lake has receded and has stopped running over the road which is currently drying out. While the impacts are serious, they could have been much worse. The road beyond the red bridge up to the Camp McNeill entrance has been washed out, similar to Hurricane Matthew. Our Ranger, Jacob Jay, has been working tirelessly to open access to 4 wheel-drive vehicles. Fortunately only minor damage was sustained by a few structures, but otherwise all facilities at camp are operational.
