The protection of our Scouts remains our foremost priority and to that end, our national organization made effective September 1, 2017 that Youth Protection Training will be required for all adult leaders at the time of registration. Paper applications from new leaders must be accompanied by a Youth Protection Training completion certificate, which must be filed with the application.
Because completion of YPT is now required for all leaders at the time of registration, unit leaders must obtain copies of the completion certificates from the leaders who register online before approving their application.

New O.W.L.S. Training Offered For First Time

On April 30th to May 1st, our Council will offer Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills (OWLS) for the first time. This hands-on program gives an adult leader the practical skills to lead Webelos in the outdoors. Training sessions include: how to set up camp, cook meals, application of Webelos craft skills, and Leave No Trace Principles. This training is recommended for Bear leaders and Scouters that will be moving to Webelos in the fall.
