A day of excitement and fun for all Cub Scouts and their families in the Cape Fear Council. Cubmasters bring your Pack, Den Leaders bring your Den and Cub Scouts bring a boy to join Cub Scouts and earn your Recruiter Patch. Electives will be offered for each Cub Scout Rank. There will be Archery, BB Gun, Slingshot and Fishing Activities. There will also be many exciting demonstrations from public service agencies and recreational & natural resource agencies such as Ham Radio Operators, N.C. Aquarium, Carolina Raptor Center, Kayak Adventures and N.C. State Parks. Boy Scout Troops will demonstrate Scout Skills such as Hiking, Camping, Knots & Lashings, First-Aid, Map & Compass and Camp and Dutch Oven Cooking. There will be games, prizes, fire trucks, horses, live music and much, much more. PT’s Mobile Grill and Dubs Doughnuts will offer food and refreshments and the Dairy Express will offer a variety of ice cream treats.
Cub Scouts wear your Class-B Pack Shirts. The first 200 Cub Scouts to pre-register and check in at Cub Scout Day will receive an event patch and a drawstring backpack. The event is free and each Cub Scout Family is asked to bring canned and/or nonperishable food items in any amount they wish for a food drive to be collected at the entrance/registration table.
