Bald Head Island Merit Badge Program | Environmental Science
Date: April 20, 2024 - April 20, 2024 | Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
We are excited to partner again with the Bald Head Island Conservancy to offer a merit badge program where Scouts will take the Environmental Science merit badge as a one day event.
With generous donors agreeing to underwrite much of the cost of this program to ensure this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is available to as many Scouts as possible. The cost of the program is $40.00 which includes ferry tickets and all merit badge program supplies. Scouts will be exploring the island and will have the opportunity to visit the beach. Space is limited to 10 Scouts with a minimum requirement of 6. Register now to secure your spot for this class. Please bring a bagged lunch.
Scouts will need to complete requirements 1, 2, and 6 outside of class. If a Scout has completed them beforehand, let the counselor know and it will be reflected on the blue card.
Each Troop represented will be required to have an adult leader or parent from their Troop be in attendance. (If multiple Scouts from the same unit are in attendance, at least one leader/ parent would need to be present). Adults will need to purchase their own ferry ticket at the Deep Point Marina. If you have any questions, please contact Michael DeRuyter by email at Michael.DeRuyter@scouting.org
