New O.W.L.S. Training Offered For First Time
On April 30th to May 1st, our Council will offer Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills (OWLS) for the first time. This hands-on program gives an adult leader the practical skills to lead Webelos in the outdoors. Training sessions include: how to set up camp, cook meals, application of Webelos craft skills, and Leave No Trace Principles. This training is recommended for Bear leaders and Scouters that will be moving to Webelos in the fall. It will give leaders a great foundation to help their Scouts transition to the Patrol Method used in Boy Scouting’s outdoor activities. Mr. Joel Bradford, Cubmaster of Pack 344 in St. Pauls, NC, will be leading this training. For more information contact Joel at JABradford1223@gmail.com. Registration deadline is April 23rd.
